FAQs
Is this practice a good fit for me?
This practice is designed for individuals seeking a more thoughtful, in-depth approach to their health and healing. Many patients come to me when they don't feel their best despite being told everything is "normal," or when they are looking for a more comprehensive and personalized plan.
What health conditions do you typically work with?
I commonly support patients with hormone-related concerns (including perimenopause, menopause, women's health in general, men's health, sexual health, PMS, PMOS, and endometriosis), weight and metabolic health, thyroid conditions (hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, and Graves' disease), gut and microbiome health, and more complex or chronic symptoms, including those related to environmental and toxin exposures.
What can I expect during the initial visit?
The initial visit is a comprehensive evaluation where we take time to review your health history, symptoms, previous testing, and health goals in detail. This visit is designed to understand the full picture of your health and begin identifying the underlying factors contributing to your concerns.
Do you take insurance?
I plan to accept HMSA PPO/HMO/Quest, Medicare and TRICARE, with additional insurance plans potentially available in the future.
As a specialist-focused practice, some insurance plans may require a referral from your primary care provider. Certain services may also be offered on a private-pay basis to allow for a more in-depth and personalized approach. Any out-of-pocket costs will be discussed with you in advance.
Do I still need a primary care provider?
This practice focuses on a more in-depth, integrative approach to your health, which works best alongside a primary care provider who can manage routine care, screenings, and urgent concerns.
I saw you as my primary care provider before, so what does this mean now?
While I previously practiced as a primary care provider, my new practice is designed differently. I am no longer serving as a designated PCP and instead focus on specialized, comprehensive care that allows for longer visits and a more personalized approach. This model gives me the time and flexibility to look beyond symptoms, explore root contributors to health concerns, and provide the thoughtful, individualized care that many patients are seeking and come to me for.
Do you offer ongoing care?
Yes. Ongoing care is an important part of the process. Follow-up visits allow us to review progress, adjust your plan, and continue refining your care over time. I value long-term relationships with my patients and enjoy supporting them through different stages of life and health.
Do you offer telehealth visits?
Yes. Telehealth visits are currently the primary way I see patients. Limited house calls may be available when appropriate.
Will you order labs?
Yes. Labs are often an important part of understanding your health. I utilize both conventional and specialized testing when appropriate to guide your care.
Do you prescribe medications?
Yes. I utilize medications, lifestyle interventions, nutrition, supplements, and other evidence-based therapies when appropriate. Treatment recommendations are individualized based on your needs, preferences, and health goals.
How is this different from a typical medical visit?
Visits are more in-depth and focused on understanding the root of your symptoms rather than only managing them. The goal is to create a clear, personalized plan that supports your long-term health.
What are the costs of care?
Costs vary depending on the type of visit, insurance coverage, and services provided. I believe in transparency and will discuss any out-of-pocket costs with you before treatment recommendations are made. Please reach out for current pricing and insurance information.
